Where Can I Go to Get Tested?
Walgreens offers free HIV and Hepatitis C (HCV) testing at participating locations in central Virginia during hours when the pharmacy is open. Walgreens pharmacists conduct the tests in a private location and provide results while you wait. All test results are confidential and follow-up testing and resources are available as necessary. Testing is only available for those 18 years and older. Please call ahead or check their website for changes in pharmacy hours.
Virginia Department of health is currently offering free in-home HIV test kits to all men living in Virginia who fill out a five-minute, confidential survey. If you are a male living in Virginia, and are unsure about using any of the testing locations provided above, please consider this Home Testing Program. If you have any questions about VDH’s Home Testing Program, contact the community HIV testing coordinator Bryan Collins at 804.864.7948.
